About me

I have been teaching mathematics for 17 years in a range of schools, that has included working in a cross curricula setting in Year 7 to working in a sixth form college teaching A-Level mathematics. I have also been an early adopter of the ‘new’ Level 3 ‘Core Maths’ qualification over the last 4 years.

In my younger days, I was lucky to find an interest in playing squash and this ended up with me playing for England, but unfortunately old father time has caught up and now I prefer to use my hand eye coordination skills on the green fairways of my local golf course.

My degree in Upper Primary/Lower Secondary Education enabled me to really understand how the curriculum in mathematics develops through the school ages and even onto A-Level and through my many CPD sessions, with esteemed educators such as Mark McCourt, Emma McCrae, Mark Enser and Peter Mattock, I hope I gain offer some support to colleagues.
